About the program

Fair assessment, dignified support.

Harbor Grants exists so charities can offer financial assistance tailored to a person’s needs, circumstances, and goals—without requiring an applicant account.

How decisions are made

Four questions guide every assessment.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a grant award. Amounts and decisions depend on assessment and available funds.

  1. Need

How significant is the need described in the application, and how urgent or material is the request?

  2. Feasibility

Is the proposed use of funds realistic in the time and context you give?

  3. Intended use

Is it clear how the money would be spent, in plain language?

  4. Category fit

Does the request align with the grant category the charity assigned to that program?
